EDU Checkup Episode #2
Working through technical issues, I changed my screen resolution to better match the HD requirements of some sites and I tried to buy a new mic at Target (We had gift certificates) but it totally sucked and didn’t work with my computer.
Anyways next episode and three new sites reviewed. Check them out and let me know what you think. Do you like the format? Is three sites too many? Not enough? I spend about 5 minutes on each site but it feels almost like I am rushing through a checklist of requirements for me to give it the thumbs up. I don’t want the show to become a checklist. Next episode I am going to try something new depending on your comments. So comment below or Twitter me.
I did not want to reveal the title for the new site till next episode but since it was taking waaay too long to re-encode the video without the title on it I thought what the heck why not let everyone know the name of the site. Enjoy.

22 minutes… I need bitesize chunks… I think five minute videos of each site is probably more accurate and do one a site. What happens if people only care about a certain site, because it’s their site or their direct competition? I know you have the stop points, but smaller nuggets would allow you to create more videos = more posts = more chances for long tail SEO keyword = more SERP opoportunities…
Sorry the SEO consultant just came out in me… also you need a subscribe to comment option. How am I going to know if you respond or someone else leaves a comment? I see this is on WordPress… http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-comments/
Keep ‘um coming Nick!

Kyle, I am soo with you on the length of the video. I try to keep it down but I just get soo lost in sites I loose track of time. Recently I have been trying to speed things up. Skipping the searching for sites, talking faster and limiting what I am looking at on each site.
I think single videos get a little boring, I tried a few and there was just not enough variety for me and the people I bounced it off were not feeling it. But I will keep it in mind. If anyone else mentions it I might release one or two to see how it goes. In the back of my mind I think single episodes would do well on iTunes.
I just installed the subscribe to comments plugin so you should be all set.
