Nothing against Manchester, but I honestly think there is more to learn from sites that have issues than sites that get an A+. There are lots a ways to do things right, but I guess I’m just one of those people that learns more from how not to do things because then you get a concrete idea about what is bad and to avoid. Besides when we say this is the right way to do something we get less creative of coming up with new direction and ways to create and instead get in a copy mode.

@Kyle I think you are totally right. Innovation is built on need, if everyone is doing things “right” there is no need for change.
In addition I see far too many people in higher ed that I call “clockers”, they come in, do their job day in and day out just for the pay check, they try to keep their work out of the spotlight to avoid having to change or step up. Not saying Manchester is one of these schools but having sites like http://edustyle.net and EDU Checkup to put these sites up for community review forces that “step up” and innovation. It gives people a reason to strive for their best.
