Users will scroll if you give them an intensive. The old school mentality of all the important content needs to be above the fold no longer applies. As long as some of the content headers make it above the fold the user will understand there is more interesting content below. Resist the urge to place everything above the fold, your page will get cluttered quickly.

Nice job Nick – I agree they have an impressive site. – Good job Matt – We are looking at redesigning our homepage so will definitely look at the scrolling homepage idea . . . . There is always a fight for “face time” there and it is hard not to get too crowded when one stays in the smaller footprint. Not a bad compromise. Interested to learn where we might get some usability statistics regarding that kind of layout.
