Bob Jones University – Episode #65

Site Scores:

Site Visual Information Code Overall
Bob Jones University 92 98 92 (282/300) 94% A

Today’s Tip:

Don’t give your users too many options. For example when looking for majors it is great to give them different filtering options, alphabetical, by department, etc, you should still present them with a default base option view for the information. It gives them one less click to get to the information and give them less to decide. It is not a problem to give them options, just too many options and no real content up front can detract users.

Thanks Nick for a great review! I agree, they did a great job on their site. Easy to use. I liked that they tied in the related student organization to the program page; I haven’t seen that done before.

Good observation about their missing Flash content – I’m surprised they didn’t catch it.
