When ever you have movement that is controlled by the user give them hints about what is going to happen when the mouse over or click on objects. You may even find that more users click on interactive elements because they know what is going to happen or they just discovered they were there. There is no single way to use a web site so each visitor has to essencially rediscover how to use your site on their first visit, giving them clues will help keep them longer.

    Hi – thank you for doing this. As the director of the company that designs and builds the website for University College Falmouth we found your evaluation really helpful and we’ll be working with the client team to implement some changes based on your suggestions. Damn those empty h3′s!!

    Hi – also please note the “high Contrast” style sheet and the rotating banner isn’t Flash – it’s all done with javascript/Ajax. Not sure why the home page video is blank on Firefox 3 on a mac – that is an flv player so does use Flash.
