Today’s Tip:

If you are going to use a full width template make sure there is a maximum width for the main text. People are buying wider and wider monitors, the longer the lines of text the harder they are to read. Short lines, bullet points and headers make users happy.

Hey Nick, I just went to the website and it is not full width. It has a large width but it is not full. Just thought I would tell you.

Ahh very true. I was only recording at 1280. After bringing it back to my regular resolution it looks like they have it setup for 1240.

It is interesting they used that large of resolution. I would love to see some stats on their regular off campus users and their resolutions. My experience is 1024×768 is still at about 30% external visitors for wayne.edu. I am glad they went with a flexible version but I am still seeing some really long lines of text.
