Today’s Tip:
Take a minute to look at your site on a mobile phone. Specifically an iPhone or iPod Touch because they are the most popular devices to browse the web. Don’t limit yourself to those two devices but make sure your site is usable on them. A large number of people are turning to them as their primary means on browsing the web. If you have a mobile style sheet that is great, if you tailor it to those specific devices, even better. One simple thing you can do is add a “apple-touch-icon” to the <head> of your document to have your bookmark branded on an iPod Touch or iPhone.

It’s interesting that you continued diving into sub-sites even outside the main College of Arts and Letters site. It just goes to show that while insiders may understand that different departments have different websites, outsiders perceive it all as one big organization and one big website. Outsiders don’t care about organizational details.

That looks like a dollar store special t shirt. Possibly bought in Gladwin.

@Chas Outsiders don’t care at all about internal structure. Just image going to the Best Buy site and clicking through the music and PC areas and them having totally different looks, navigations and functionality. It’s just not something you would expect.
@PStyle Totally Gladwin Dollar General.
