Today’s Tip:
The number one thing you want accessible and prominent from your homepage is your degree and program list. Prospective students first and foremost want to see if you have the program they are interested in. The harder you make it to find the more likely they will be turned off. If you asked an admissions counselor are you school what programs do you offer, likely their response would not be “What school/college are you in looking to go into?” Make sure your website answers the question as it should be answered.

To be fair, Nick, the degree/program list IS accessible from their front page, under Quick Links -> Programs of Study. It is certainly not prominent, and your critique is otherwise spot-on.

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I didn’t notice it there because I assume Quick Links are just a dumping ground for internal campus community to “have their link on the homepage”
